Why we exist

Recycling is not the end of the story. It is the whole story.

Most technical clothing is a laminate of three or four materials fused together. It performs, and then it becomes waste, because nobody can separate it again. We build the opposite: a single recycled fibre, from face to lining to membrane, that can be recovered whole and spun into the next garment.

It is harder to engineer and it takes longer to source. It is also the only version of this business that makes sense on a mountain that is already changing.

How we build

One material, three states

  • 01 — Recovered

    Post-consumer polyester and nylon, recollected and returned to fibre. Nothing virgin enters the chain.

  • 02 — Made

    Woven, laminated and sewn as a monomaterial garment. Same polymer throughout, so the piece stays separable.

  • 03 — Returned

    Worn out, it comes back to us whole. No dismantling, no downcycling, no landfill at the end of the line.

Technology

ECOMEMBRANE

A microporous membrane with a recycled structure: it stops rain from the outside and lets humidity escape from the inside. 100% recycled, 100% recyclable, and PFC-free — the waterproofing does not outlive the garment in a river.

Questions worth asking any brand that says recycled

What does 100% recyclable actually mean here?

That the whole garment is one polymer family. Face fabric, membrane, lining, thread and trims can go into the same recovery stream without being cut apart first. Most technical shells cannot do this, which is why they are shredded or burned instead.

Where does the recycled fibre come from?

Post-consumer waste collected and reprocessed in Europe. We publish the mill and the composition for every reference — and when a figure is not independently measured, we say so rather than rounding it up.

Does recycled mean it performs worse?

No. The shells run at 20,000 mm water column with taped seams and helmet-compatible hoods. The constraint we accept is on colour and finish, not on the numbers you rely on above the tree line.

What happens when it wears out?

Send it back. We repair anything we made, for as long as the garment can be repaired. When it truly cannot, we take it into the recovery stream ourselves instead of leaving that to you.
